How I wish other Nigerians would have the mind of the Igbos, one Nigeria would have been achieved a long time ago. Instead, other Nigerians have been pursuing selfish interests to outwit the Igbos and dominate them as they are presently doing. In the 1930s to 1967, the Igbos were at the top of Nigerian politics, military, economics and commerce out of merit than nepotism that exist today. They worked with and integrated other Nigerians. The British were there and the Igbo showed persistence, hard work and determination. The Igbos pursued one Nigeria as against the Yorubas who had wanted the north to be left behind. For the sake of one Nigeria, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe allowed Tafawa Balewa to be prime minister. The NCNC was truly the only national party and could have formed the government. However, accusations have been lining up by many Nigerians who rather depend on lies than the truth. From north to the west, all that one hears is all the bad news of the Igbos, denying their children and their dependants the opportunity to understand the true history of Nigeria.

General Gowon talked about the cowardice of Odimegwu Ojukwu. He has refused to tell Nigerians of the outcome of Aburi Meeting. Only the Igbos stand for truth and truth will set us free at the end. On Aburi was one Nigeria. On Aburi was peace. On Aburi was equality and fairness. On Aburi was justice and equity. On Aburi was democracy, and on Aburi was orderliness and continuity. The Igbos have always defended the Yorubas and at the end the Yorubas always let them down. At Aburi meeting, Ojukwu asked for military seniority and orderliness to continue. The most senior of Nigerian army was Brigadier Ogundipe and he was the rightful person to take over from Aguiyi Ironsi. Instead Gowon held on to power as a lieutenant colonel. Remember that there were many senior military officers of Igbo and Yoruba origin who were senior to Gowon in rank. This then begs the question, was Gowon part of the plot that killed and overthrew Aguiyi Ironsi? If not, why did he not send military help to rescue the head of state in Ibadan? Why did Gowon ignored numerous hotline telephone calls from the head of state, General Aguiyi Ironsi? Can General Gowon strengthen Nigerian history by explaining his part in July 1966 coup?

Again, out of selfishness the Yorubas have always been in denial of their part in January 1966 coup. The coup was staged by two Yoruba officers and three Igbo officer. No Yoruba man wants to admit this fact. Out of selfishness they are scared. Major Banjo and Major Ademulagun were part of the originators and the executors. Both of these officers fought for Biafra though Banjo was executed along with Ifeajuna. I do not know the true reasons for their execution. General Achuzia is still alive and he can tell us the truth behind their executive to strengthen the history. Why can the Yorubas not admit that their sons played part in the 1966 coup? The only reason was that they are the beneficiaries of the chaos of 1966. Out of Jealousy, innocent Igbo officials lost their lives and the rest ran for safety. The Yorubas, being better educated than the north took over what was left behind by the Igbo and since then became lords. Let us face it, Chief Awolowo would have been dead earlier should Zik not intervened to move him to the East. It was Odimegwu Ojukwu who released Awolowo from prison. In fact, the plotters of January 1966 struck to install Chief Awolowo as the head of state. I cannot understand the reason why out of Igbo misery the Yorubas rejoiced and continue to rejoice till today. They occupied the offices of the Igbos, advised the federal government on how to sabotage the Igbos by dividing the East. The Yorubas advised the federal government to seize Igbo money in Nigerian banks. Billions of pounds of Igbo money still in the hands of the federal government of Nigeria, yet ignorant Nigerians or should I say pretending Nigerians of the North and the West refused to see anything wrong in killing and marginalising the Igbos. The seizure of Igbo money was meant for other parts of Nigeria to overtake the Igbos in wealth. Has it happen? The answer is no. Out of £20 millionaires emerged just three years after. Shame on you Nigerians and the federal government. Shame on Yakubu Gowon! You can now talk about how cowardice Ojukwu was but when he was alive you could not say such things.

The Igbos have suffered a lot in the hands of the Yorubas than other Nigerians. Someone out there will be saying why are you attacking the Yorubas? You should be attacking the north. My reason for blaming the Yorubas is that they do not want to accept the part they played in January 1966 coup. They teamed up with the north to blame the east unnecessarily. I remembered in the 1980s when the Yorubas embarked on ethnic cleansing of the Igbos at all levels of employment in Nigeria. I was one of those who suffered from the Yoruba ethnic cleansing of the Igbos. Young Igbos cried out but there was nowhere to get justice from in Nigeria. The pain is still fresh. Who cares in Nigeria, life goes on. The Yorubas were happy and they boldly filled all the posts with their own sons and daughters. The Igbos have really suffered humiliation and injustice in the hands of the Yorubas and Nigeria in general. Do not get me wrong. My best friends are Yorubas but it will not stop me from saying the truth. This truth is bitter to the Yorubas and other Nigerians as long as it is meted out to the Igbos, it is acceptable. The victory of APC in the last election resonate the pains of the 1960s and the 1980s. A colleague of mine of Yoruba origin was jubilating as he said that the Igbos have now finally been marginalized in Nigerian politics. I was shocked. I was tempted to slap him but I restrained myself a s it was in the office. I asked myself, is it how the Yorubas have brought their children to think of the Igbos? The Yorubas do not take part in killing the Igbos but they take part in taking their livelihood away. The Hausas are more accommodating of the Igbos than the Yorubas. I lived in Kano for ten years and five years in Lagos. As a young man of 19 years old, I was looked after by the Hausas. I left Kano to Lagos, not because of the Hausas but for the injustice meted out to me by my Yoruba senior manager. This is my story, and there are many more stories like mine that are not yet told.

One Nigeria is a fake. Anyway, Nigeria expired since the 31st of December 2013. There is nothing like one Nigeria. It only exists when it is in favour of the west and or the north. We cannot take this nonsense anymore. Beneath an Igboman he is a Biafran. Let no other Nigerians fool themselves. The Igbos are Biafrans, period. The Yorubas are Oduduwa and the Hausas are Arewa. There is nothing like north and south. We are not related in anyway. We are different from each other and cannot be related in anyway. Infact, the Idomas in Benue are more closely related to the Igbos than the Yorubas are. Nigerians out there should begin to ask questions. How can other Nigerians rejoice in the face of Igbo hardship? How do other Nigerians rejoice when the mad Fulanis kill the Igbos? Sometimes I am tempted to pray that let what happened to the Igbos befall on the typical Yorubas and the Hausa/Fulani, so that they can have a taste of what the Igbos have gone through. Let us not fool ourselves as there is nothing like one Nigeria. In fact, the Hausas do not like the Fulanis. I was in Kano when Katsina was created out of old Kaduna. All the Hausas celebrated. I asked why they were celebrating and they all said that the people of Katsina are very wicked and needed to be on their own. The Yorubas do not like the Igbos. The north and the south do not like each other. They pretend and work together for the sake of corruption. In fact, the middle belt (Benue and Plateau) does not like the Hausas and the Fulanis. If you doubt it, listen to Gideon Okah’s speech on the failed coup. What Okah said was how Benue and Plateau feel.

It is not the Igbos who wanted to divide Nigeria. In fact, Murtala Muhammed wanted to divide it in 1966 after his coup succeeded until he was talked out of it. Awolowo and Saduana wanted it divided earlier. So, do not blame the Igbos. We may not be better than other Nigerians but we need our own country called Biafra. At the moment, I am an Igboman first, a Nigerian second. In fact, who is a Nigerian? None of us is a Nigerian. The north pays particular attention to their Arewa congress, and the Yuroba to Oduduwa. Nigerians should not be afraid of Biafra. There will be no boarders between the east and the west and the north. It is our nature to welcome people. We love people and we love to live in peace with our neighbours. Let me ask other Nigerians, without the oil in the east who amongst the west and north be talking about one Nigeria? The only thing that unites Nigeria together is corruption. The fact is that the north has stolen so much money from Nigeria. They used their stolen wealth to buy houses and settle their family in London, thereby neglecting their people. Their people live in poverty. Now the United Nations has included northern Nigeria as one of the deprived areas of the world. Can you believe it? He who has ear let him hear!
