The Nigerian medical association is a disgrace! They should stop being political. People are dying prematurely in Nigeria. There is no organisation, the management is poor and no effort has been made to manage Nigerian doctors who are running down all hospitals in Nigeria. I do not know how anyone should show his face as a representative of Nigerian Medical Association. Just last week, a young cousin of mine was buried. She died without adequate care. There are endless stories about unnecessary death; cold, headache, malaria, fever, name it. We blame the government but no one takes responsibility even to treat headache. In hospitals, the doctors are misbehaving. All of them have clinics of their own, undermining their ability to perform as they are demonstrating conflict of interest. No doctor is focused. Nigerian Medical Association is a shame to its professsion. Nigerians are blaming the government and the politicians however the doctors and indeed, the Nigerian Medical Association demonstrate no commitment. People go to the hospital with headaches and left the hospital dead in a coffin. Why? Nigerians are dying unnecessarily. This is incompetence! Someone should accept the responsibility. I know that the government should invest in hospitals but at least, the Nigerian doctors and the NMA should show commitment. Now, someone claimed that he had developed the cure for HIV and Hepatitis B and C, the NMA is not saying anything about it. Should this be in the Western world and far East, the news should be everywhere, newspapers, TV, radio, name it. However Nigerian Medical Association is silent over it. It is shameful! Nigerians should begin to hold the doctors responsible and accountable. People must sue them for negligence for all these unnecessary deaths. I am really upset about what is happening in Nigeria.
