Few years ago, I wrote an article titled “go home Nigerians”, and I suggested that Nigerians should return to their village into local authority to begin the dismantling of corruption. I said that corruption was dead on our arrival. A lot of people read it but did not understand it. However, today is Saturday 18th November 2023. Today is the beginning of the beginning of dismantling corruption in Nigeria through our involvement in our local governments. Forget about Abuja; the president has no domain outside Abuja hence the supreme court got it wrong as they tried to elevate Abuja into a state. It is now obvious that we cannot change Nigeria from Abuja and the presidency; however, change is only possible from a position of power within a known environment. I do not know Abuja, I do not know the president, just his name. I do not know his ministers and advisers; in fact, I do not personally know my governor however, I know and have authority over the representative of Owerri North constituency member in Imo State House of Assembly, and you too know the member representing your constituency. It is now time to dismantle corruption from within. I cannot talk to my governor, neither can I talk to the president above him however, I can knock at the door of my representative uninvited and talk to him because I know him, and he is representing me.

However, this article is a warning to Imo State House of Assembly to pass a motion demanding the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu! This is what I am going to do to contribute to the dismantling of corruption in my local authority, and I urge you to do the same thing in your local governments. I am giving the member of Imo State House of Assembly fourteen (14) days from today to table a “motion” in Imo State House of Assembly for the “unconditional” release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. After the fourteen (14) day notice and if nothing is done, I will instruct my solicitors to begin the process of constitutionally withdrawing the member representing Owerri North from the House of Assembly due to lack of confidence in him or her representing my interest in government. I am using this medium to request constitutional lawyers to advise us on the provisions of the law that enable the process of withdrawing an elected political representative.

However, based on the above, I am also requesting my friends and well meaning indigenes of Owerri West and Owerri Municipal to do the same. This warning is not just for the members representing Owerri local governments, it is also for members representing Owerri in the Federal Houses (National Assemblies). The time of talking is over. I want to see the national assembly members tabling motions for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We need him for Christmas. I will not enjoy this Christmas with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu still in detention. Since we cannot do anything to the federal government, at least we can do something in our local governments. Sit at home has failed, and we should now “sit-up”. After fourteen (14) days from today, I will join both the Senator for Owerri and the House of Representative member from Owerri in the lawsuit. Revolution is not always about violent protest, it is about the revolution of the minds by emancipating ourselves from mental slavery, and understanding and knowing our rights! Take this article seriously as it would be the in-thing as “sit at home” civil disobedience has not entirely achieved the ultimate aim however, thanks to those who initiated it as those tyrants in Igboland now know that civil disobedience is a functional tool to tame those in government. Well done everyone, it is now time to end the sit at home revolution, and to embrace the “new normal” of withdrawing your “elected political representative” through the constitutional means even though we know that our judiciary (judisharing) is very corrupt more than the politicians and the iNECK!
