Peter Obi has made a serious mistake by wishing the warlord, General Yakubu Gowon happy birthday. Gowon maybe 90 years old but I don’t think he is a happy man approaching his ancestors with the truth of Igbo massacre and unnecessary civil war hidden. Gowon should tell Nigerians his side of the story concerning his part in the killings of Aguiyi Ironsi and Colonel Fajuyi. He should boldly tell Nigerians what happened on his arrival from Aburi meeting so that history will vindicate the just. Wisdom starts with the truth. Irrespective of the massacre of Igbos, the civil war was never to be because all Nigerians went to Aburi in Ghana to negotiate peace however, Gowon ruined it on arrival in Lagos. Nigerians prefer darkness to light and will remain in darkness. I don’t know what Gowon has to say as his people are getting just a pinch of what Igbos went through in 1966. They removed history from academic curriculum just to hide the truth. Punch and Tribune, including New Nigerian newspapers did excellent job by misinforming the people with fabricated lies as they encourage their peoples to share the spoils of war. The God of the Igbos will not rest until the truth surfaces in Nigeria and people own their parts in the massacre of Igbos. Any Igbo man talking nonsense on social media is on his own as 99.99% of Igbos are not with him. They can talk nonsense in Abuja but know full well that they have to take their place in the village square meetings. Nigerians must seek the truth or remain in darkness. The die is cast!
