I posted a question last week regarding democracy and Igbo culture but none of you could write a word towards this important question.

I could see that there are two types of democracy. One is political democracy which the British and other Western nations practice, and another is the cultural democracy of which the Igbos are born into and which they practice unconciously.

I challenge any man to disagree with me that democracy does not originate from Igbo culture. Observation from infancy to adulthood demonstrates that the Igbos are more democratic in nature than any other democratic nation on earth. I know that some of my detractors will laugh, but think deeply into it without malice. The Igbos never do anything as a community, as a group or as a nation without common agreement. The Igbos at any age will resist anything imposed on them.

Take a step backward and observe Igbo children from the age of one to the age of seven and see how they come to an agreement. First of all, they voice their opinions and at the end each will raise his or her hand up either in agreement or in disagreement. At the end , majority carries the vote. This is Igbo culture.

Which nation, tribe or community does practice true democracy? Britain is the greatest democratic nation on earth politically but only the Igbos are culturally democratic. Please challenge me if you can
