Death they say is inevitable! Life is temporary and any man born of a woman MUST die one day. It is once appointed for man to die, and therefore, we must live life to the fullest. Well, the old man of Zimbabwe, President Robert Mugabe is dead and has joined his ancestors since the early hours of today. He may now be resting in peace from this world of slippery slope. It takes the hand of God for one to be 95 years old in this world of uncertainty.

Robert Gabriel Mugabe had done his part as a freedom fighter and a president of one of Africa’s last colonised country, Zimbabwe, and all is left for posterities to continue from where he stopped. I respected Elder (President) Mugabe for his boldness, not allowing himself to be intimidated by the world masters. There were two men in the 21st century who really believed in Africa; Mugabe and Gadaffi and they are now part of African history. Depending on where one stands, Elder Mugabe could be seen from different angles. It is certain that Europe did not like him and he did not like them, and because of his stubbornness, they destroyed his country’s economy. Some people may say that he was high-handed in redistributing the farmlands of Zimbabwe and others would say that he was right to re-allocate the lands stolen from the people of Zimbabwe by the colonial masters. Whatever is your argument, Europe has no right in attaching conditions to the agreement reached at independence to pay for the lands on behalf the land owners. However when the time came for Europe to pay the agreed money to Zimbabwe they began to give Mugabe conditions which were not stated on the agreement. Mugabe being what he was, rejected the intimidation and harassment from the political and economic masters.

However the majority of Europeans would say that Mugabe was a bad leader and the majority of Africans who follow politics of the world would say tha President Robert Mugabe did the right thing though he paid the price for disobeying the god-fathers of politics and economics. I think that the imposition of Morgan Tsvangirai on Mugabe and the people of Zimbabwe was a bad thing. It did not go down well with Mugabe, the Zimbabweans and indeed, the African leaders. Robert Gabriel Mugabe, being as stubborn as he was defied the Europeans intimidation, including the imposition of Tsvangirai hence they collectively destroyed the economy of Zimbabwe. The Europeans made everyone to believe that Mugabe was tyrannical. They painted him in a very bad image. Most people forgot the origin of the misunderstanding with the god-father, Europe. Now that Mugabe is dead, when are the Europeans going to pay the money they own to Zimbabwean on land reform? Do not get me wrong, Robert Gabriel Mugabe overstayed in power hence he was forcefully removed by his own army. That is the end of an era! Right or wrong, history will vindicate the just. May your soul rest in peace, elder Mugabe. You have done your bit though controversial. Africa would remember you
