The Igbos are humans, and they have feelings, pride and integrity. Igbos, like other race have collective interests which come above any other interests within and without! Igbo race existed before Nigeria, and like any other race, interest of the community comes first. From the beginning of Nigeria, Igbos put Nigerian interest first before their community interest hence they are where they are today, underrated! Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe led Nigeria to independence while the other leaders consolidated their base with tribalism and regionalism; Awolowo did focused on his people, and Saduana did the same. Saduana and Awolowo believed in regional interest first, national interest second hence the Igbos, led by Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe were left doing deals with both North and West for the interest of Nigeria. This has eventually contributed to their lagging behind as the latter have formidable base to approach Nigeria with singular voices; seventy years after, the Igbo politicians have learned nothing.

However, the Igbos are saying “NO” to their political representatives in Abuja, be it Senate or House of Representatives that all that the Igbos want today is the “presidency” of Nigeria, no more, no less! The Igbos collectively and in a singular voice say that “we neither want Senate president nor speaker of the House of Representatives”, and the “only” political office we want today is the “president” of Nigeria. I say this, and I am saying it loud and clear on behalf of ordinary Igbo man that Igbos politicians, such as Orji Uzor Kalu, David Umahi and others must be very careful of the way they belittle the Igbos publicly for their selfish interests.

However, 2023 presidential election was a repeat of what happened to Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe; as Peter Obi won Lagos, that was how Zik won the Western House that led to the awakening of tribal politics when Chief Obafemi Awolowo crossed the carpet that signalled the emergence of tribalism in Nigerian politics. Igbos think and act nationally outward while other tribes think and act regionally inward. The Igbos were busy trying to form national politics while Saduana of Sokoto and Awolowo were busy consolidating their regional base. With all the positions that the Igbos held in Nigeria in the first republic and the years running to the independence of Nigeria are enough to make Igboland a “heaven on earth” instead of the rundown communities as it is in Igboland today. Zik was the only Nigerian to hold the position of the “governor-general” of Nigeria. Dr Azikiwe’s father was the highest ranking Nigeria as the secretary cum PA to the British governor-general” before power was handed over to Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. Igbos have national interest at heart hence the majority of senior military officers and police officers were meritoriously Igbos. The majority of senior managers of companies were meritoriously Igbos. Saduana did not like it and he complained openly; Awolowo did not like it and he complained openly. Igbos could have used their positions to channel most developments to Igboland but they didn’t!

However, Igbos believed in equity and fairness as imposed upon them by Igbo “culture” to do to others as they would like to be done by! Sir Barrister Raymond Amanze Njoku was the longest minister that served Nigeria for seventeen (17) years however, he built Kano airport. Igbo leaders stood between the west and the north, dragging them to the Nigerian table, thereby neglecting their own region for the interest of Nigeria and as it is today, the same Nigerians they served do not want Igbos to enjoy the fruits of their hard labour. It is shameful! Without the Igbos there would never have been a Nigeria; both Saduana of Sokoto and Awolowo did not want Nigeria; even General Murtala Muhammed did not want Nigeria but for the opposition of General Gowon and the insistence of British government Nigeria would have been dead in July 1966.

However, entered Biafra, not by design but by circumstance. Biafra was a product of circumstance, influenced by the need for self-defence. The hatred gained over time by Nigerians culminated into ethnic cleansing of the Igbos in the 2nd half of 1966. That notwithstanding, I condemned the first coup of January 1966. The coup leaders, mostly of Igbo origin thought that they were doing good to Nigeria hence they were convinced that Nigerian actions against the Western region was not fair but the soldiers lack political vision and wisdom. However, July 1966 led by lieutenant-colonel Murtala Muhammed came as a revenge based on bias and negative stereotype on the Igbos, and to avoid dominance and to reduce Igbo influence in Nigeria, carried out ethnic cleansing hence more than three (3) hundred of Igbo military officers were killed by their colleagues of Northern origin. General Ogbemudia of Edo State was lucky to have survived the coup as Buka Suka Dimka had a long chase to ensure that he killed him. Gaze what, the same Ogbemudia turned against the Igbos and worked against Biafra.

However, what has the coup got to do with ordinary Igbo man? The Nigerian soldiers of Northern origin and the fulani militia turned on innocent Igbo civilians and killed thousands of them without provocation. Nigerians, North and West enjoy the spilling of Igbo blood. Upon all these bias against Igbo race, Igbo politicians are still fixated on Nigerian unity against the collective interest of Igbo race. Now the hatred and negative stereotype have been extended to the children of Igbo women who are married to the Yorubas hence it was played out on the streets of Lagos in 2023 presidential and governorship elections. Everything complained about by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu repeated itself in 2023 elections. Do you still blame Kanu for forming IPOB? I am 100% behind Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB ideology. Igbos cannot wait until all their young men are killed before they would realise that Nigeria is against them. Anyway, I have to be honest; not all Nigerians are against the Igbos hence they trooped out in their numbers to support and voted for Peter Obi presidency. The awakening of other Nigerians is the reason Nnamdi Kanu is in detention. They have started to see today what Nnamdi Kanu saw many years ago hence they ganged up to kill him through their Python Dance 2. They formed killing squad to kill IPOB members in the name of “unknown gunmen”, just to silence Igbo youth, and the killings have been going on in Igboland since president Buhari declared Igboland as a “Dot Nation” and vowed to continue the annihilation of Igbo men in the name of an illusive one-Nigeria.

However, nothing is hidden under the sun. Heaven wanted Nigerians to feel a pinch of the pain of what the Igbos have been going through over the years. Other tribes of Nigeria are now more Obidient than the Igbos, and they are now wondering what really is happening in Nigeria. They are now talking tougher than Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Some young people had already committed suicide; some had already destroyed their International passport and denying their Nigerian citizenship. However, the powers that be in Nigeria and their collaborators, such as Athor Ezeh, Orji Uzor Kalu, Dave Umahi, Rochas Okorocha to mention but a few do not want an Igbo man to preside over them hence they collectively instructed the iNECK chairman, professor Mahmood Yakubu to openly rig the 2023 presidential election. Professor Yakubu himself does not like what is happening in Nigeria today but he is acting on instructions to ensure that Peter Obi is denied of presidency. It is obvious that a suckling baby knows that the election was rigged. Evidence of the rigging is littered all over the streets of Nigeria. Should Nigerians miss this opportunity to wrestle power from the powers that be in Nigeria, it would take another fifty (50) years for Nigerians to have another chance to free themselves from political slavery as we all have been conditioned to mental slavery, poverty, ineptitude and nepotism hence the Obidients must fight now to liberate themselves from the domination, intimidation and molestation from the powers that be in Nigeria. Anarchy is loosed upon Nigeria! The first task now for the Obidients is “not to allow the powers that be” to swear in the president-select, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, the-terrorists supporter and sponsor, Kashim Shettima. Swearing in these two men is a disservice to Nigeria. The government of Buhari must stop the swearing in of these men on the 29th of May as president and vice for the interest, unity, peace and progress of Nigeria. Nigeria may never recover from the effect of this singular action that is about to happen in Nigeria. He who loves Nigeria must speak out now to stop the swearing in of these two men, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima!

However, Nnamdi Kanu has done his bits and he is in detention; General Aguiyi Ironsi was killed for one-Nigeria; Major Kaduna Nzeogwu had done his bits and he did not survive the war; General Murtala Mohammed had done his bits and he was killed for it. Major Gideon Orkar tried his best and was betrayed by his own people and he did not see the daylight. However, Peter Obi is in the picture as it is today, and the whole world is watching! If this opportunity of wrestling power from the “powers that be” is lost, Nigeria should be waved goodbye. Nigeria government and all the apparatus of the federal government have been deployed and directed to focus on the swearing in of Tinubu on the 29th of May. The actions and inactions of General Muhammadu Buhari is geared to impose Kashim Shettima on Nigeria with the conviction and belief that Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not last another four (4) years in office as president; the calculation is that, he might either die in office or retire from politics due to illness within the next four years, and Shettima would take over and continue from where Buhari stopped. The far-north does not care if Nigeria is divided as they had already planned to merge with Niger Republic however, the problem is that the Hausa race is not in agreement to that concluded plan. Now the fate of Nigeria and Nigerians are now in the hands of judges of Electoral Tribunal and the Supreme court; opinions are already divided amongst the judges. A lot is going on behind the scene to cajole, bribe, intimidate and bully the judges; as a human being in a corrupt country such as Nigeria, one may not want to be in the position of the electoral tribunal judges presently. Pray for the judges, pray for Nigeria and Nigerians; history that would shape the destiny of Nigerians, Africans and the entire black race is about to be played out in the courts of jurisdiction in Nigeria.
