Presently the Igbos of Nigeria are a bunch of confused people in Nigeria! They are not sure if they are Nigerians or Biafrans though they are fighting for a just cause, not just for themselves but also for the bewildered peoples of Nigeria who are grappling with the sense of belonging in Nigeria. The question now is what is Nigeria really about? The North is seriously divided and the South, including Benue are seriously frightened and partially decimated yet we all clamour for one-Nigeria. That phrase “one Nigeria” seriously frighten all Nigerians, especially those from the south and middle belt. Igbos are openly discriminated against; ordinary Nigerians did not quite understand what the Igbos complain about until 25 February 2023.

It is gradually becoming a bit messy in Igboland and that is where the powers that be in Nigeria want the Igbos to be. The Igbos are now blaming and killing themselves. Now all actions are geared towards releasing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and none is working, including the judiciary. All Nigerians want Nnamdi Kanu to be released but the powers that be want him indefinitely detained. They want to incite Igbos against each other and that is beginning to yield fruit. For the first time, the powers that be openly demonstrated their disdain against the Igbos in 2023 presidential election. Nigerians are not happy about it but who cares? Definitely not the powers that be! Thank God Ohaneze is gradually waking up. Thank God we still have Pa Adebayo still alive. Sit at home in Igboland must be stopped because some people are using it as an excuse to commit evil either as government or individuals however, do not forget that it was aimed at putting pressure on the Eastern governors and political leaders to dialogue with the federal government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The fight between IPOB DOS and Simon Ekpa is not getting us anywhere. Shifting support is not getting us anywhere.

However, we need Igbo leaders with the support of other Nigerians to mediate between IPOB DOS and Simon Ekpa hence I have always said that no one is right and no one is wrong! If anyone wants me to condemn Simon Ekpa, that person will wait for a long time. Simon Ekpa is the only person doing what IPOB originally set out to do. However, their enemies have divided them. The original aim of sit at home was with good intentions but now it has been infiltrated upon, starting from the introduction of “unknown gunmen”. It is on record that both IPOB and Simon Ekpa knew nothing about the unknown gunmen as it has the hands of the federal government in it. What is the reason for the formation of unknown gunmen? It would not be far from equipping Asari Dokubo to be the “go between” to do dirty jobs for the government in destroying IPOB, ESN and the emergence of Biafra! The question is, who is doing the killings in Igboland pretending to be enforcing the sit at home order? Why was the “unknown gunmen” introduced into the East? One thing is clear, Asari Dokubo told Nigerians that he is the one doing the killings in Igboland and Benue; for what reason? He did not explain to Nigerians. Who gave Asari Dokubo the license to kill? He authoritatively boasted about it with the Nigerian Coat of Arms at his back, symbolising authority!

However, Igbo and Benue leaders must sit down now as brothers to discuss the issues affecting them. There is no doubt that Benue people are the closest relatives of the Igbos in terms of culture, language and intermarriage. We share common cause and common enemy. We are brothers and share common pains. The question everyone should be asking now is, “do we really want Biafra or do we want to be properly integrated into Nigeria”? All Igbos must begin now to ponder over that question and begin to proffer solution. It is now obvious that Igbos have just one leader and his name is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. His absence has seriously exposed the Igbos! We really need Kanu to be released immediately to calm down nerves in Igboland and the surroundings. They say that a tree cannot make a forest however, in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he is the tree and the forest! Based on the above, I cannot condemn neither Simon Ekpa nor IPOB and the DOS! They must sit down and resolve their issues however, they need mediators such Rev Chigbo of God’s Agenda Television. Igboland as it is now is very messy! I hope I have made my point clear!
