Nigeria stinks of being fantastically corrupt! President Muhammadu Buhari collected 500 billions Naira monthly for palliative measure of which no one from the old Eastern Region benefited from it. I believe that the story is the same both in the West and in the North except Daura, the home town of our ex nepotic president Muhammadu Buhari. Thanks to the confession of our equally ex unprofessional eye-service Central Bank governor, Emefiele. Bola Ahmed Tinubu did exactly what he said during the election campaign that he would continue from where Buhari stopped; he is doing exactly just that without the Senate and house of representatives asking any questions about it. Our new Senate that started yesterday has already approved 500 billon Naira for Almighty Asiwaju of Nigeria for the continuation of palliative measure that did not see the daylight in Buhari’s regime! Nigerian government has graduated from “security vote” to palliative fund; none is accountable! It is a “father Christmas” funds to say “hallo be thy name” to political leaders until thy kingdom come or until Nigeria is restructured. Do you now see why politicians spent unimaginable sums of money to secure ticket to Aso Rock? Do you now see the reason why the powers that be do not want Peter Obi to be on that seat of government? Who has ever received palliative fund in the East and other parts of Nigeria?

Let me just enumerate how this humongous amount of money could have been spend for good causes. If Nigeria truly spends that money for palliative measure, it could have lifted fifty (50) thousand individuals out of poverty monthly. United Kingdom depends on micro businesses to boost their economy and to reduce unemployment. 94% of UK businesses fall under Micro business. Micro business is any UK businesses with £632,000 or less annual turnover, and or employing less than ten (10) people. Now hear my story and this is what I would have done if I were in government in Nigeria. With 500 billion Naira monthly palliative fund, I would have encouraged and established fifty (50) thousand micro businesses by giving ten (10) million Naira to individuals, especially the young people with business plan. These would include young graduates and others with viable business plan, such as hairdresser, barber salon, tailoring, carpentry, computer technicians, Internet cloud engineers, poultry farmers, farmers, plumbers, electricians, restaurants, training and development and other businesses that boost local economy. The money in question could have created fifty thousand entrepreneurs (micro businesses). That would have been distributed evenly across the thirty six (36) states, including Abuja. This would have amounted to lifting 1,351 (one thousand three hundred and fifty one) people out of poverty in each state monthly. These micro businesses would have been instructed to employ at least one (1) person afternoon six months. The palliative fund would have lifted a minimum of 2,702 (two thousand seven hundred and two) people out of poverty monthly! Now do the arithmetic yourself should this repeat itself over a year.

However, each state of Nigeria would have lifted 32,424 (thirty two thousand four hundred and twenty four) people out of poverty annually. These micro businesses would have paid both corporation tax and employer National Insurance contribution. The employees would have paid income tax and pension contributions. Imagine this is repeated over four or eight years? Do you see how Muhammadu Buhari wasted our funds? Imagine how booming the economy of each state of Nigeria would have been? Just see how politicians mindlessly waste our resources on themselves? We are just talking about palliative fund; do you know what Nigeria could have achieved with the uncountable security fund? Remember that security vote is far bigger than palliative fund. Nigerian leaders are fantastically corrupt! No one asks questions, no one cares. The rich gets richer having a cut off the palliative fund and security vote.

However, this leads me to ask Nigerians, why on earth did the government arrest Emefiele? He was just the messenger, doing what his master asked him to do! Are Nigerians normal? Ask yourself why was the central bank governor arrested? Why do Nigerians not ask relevant questions and demand for answers? You are now making Emefiele the “escape goat” of the powers that be in Nigeria? Do you know that the powers that be in Nigeria receive millions if not billions of Naira in “Ghana must go” monthly for doing nothing, just rigging elections and deciding who goes where? Do you see why they have decided that Peter Obi must not be president? Buhari and all the cabals in government must be arrested; Emefiele is our prime witness. He disbursed the funds and he knows who received what. Stop being fooled Nigerians!
