I am telling Nigerians that he who holds you down is holding himself down also! He cannot stand up or rise up unless he let go of you. This is an Igbo adage; learn it, practise it and be free!

However, General Yakubu Gowon must give Nigerians his own version on what happened to “Aburi Accord” in Ghana, January 1967. Who told him to reject the agreement reached in Ghana on the 5th of January 1967 that led to the civil war. It was his refusal to implement the Aburi Accord that led to civil war; can Gowon deny this statement and tell us his own version? Misled people of Nigeria sheepishly fought the Igbos to subdue their rise to stardom! Anyway, we do not blame you; we blame the British who saw that the rise of the Igbos would eventually reduce their grip on Nigeria and Africa hence their leaders hated Zik, Akanu Ibiam and the rest, including Michael Okpala whose administration was mesmerising British intelligence. For the sake of illusive one-Nigeria, can Gowon go to the grave with the truth? Nigerian media establishments, including Punch, Tribune and the other Western dominated media must ask Gowon to tell Nigerians the truth. Gowon will not live forever and time is running out for the truth to be told! It will be a shame for the western dominated press to allow Gowon to go to grave with the truth of what killed over 4 million Nigerians between 1967 and January 15th 1970.

God kept Gowon alive for a reason. He is presently on the front pages of newspapers; can he now use this opportunity to tell the truth and bring peace to himself? I am challenging the western dominated Nigerian media establishment not to allow General Gowon to go to his ancestors with the truth about Aburi Accord as they suppressed Major Ademoyega with the truth of 15th January 1966! My name remains Oguchi Martins Egbujor, your messenger of truth. I can see that the time to make or break Nigeria is drawing closer! We need the truth for reconciliation. He who has ear let him hear!
