Covid19, aka Corona Virus had a devastating effect on the life of everyone. It was a global significant life event that reshaped peoples’ view on life and death. It took away with it, millions of lives with devastating consequences. Millions of people all over the world were distraught as numerous families lost their loved ones. The daily news of deaths was frightening and affected numerous people in different ways as peoples of all ages lost their lives; elderly people were abandoned due to social distancing. Covid19 brought in a new era, a world new order as peoples of the world welcomed the “new normal” and were grappling with survival. Daily death toll was staggeringly very high and frightening to say the least. There were deaths and rumours of deaths all over the world. However, in the United Kingdom the Prime Minister was amongst the first set of sufferers of the deathly virus. People were scared to death, no one trusted anyone; families were left alone in their houses as everyone is a potential suspect of covid19 virus. Isolation, loneliness and depression were ushered in due to fear; death lost its dignity as people were buried unceremoniously without their loved ones being present. Covid19 left a trail of significant life events and people reacted to it differently. From early 2020 to the mid 2021 more than half of the UK workforce were furloughing, thereby creating its own consequences, such as domestic violence, separation, divorce, and trauma.

However, normal life is beginning to return to the streets of the world, including United Kingdom and other cosmopolitan cities. People are now reflecting on the significant life events caused to them by the consequences of Covid19. There are endless stories though those who survived have not come to terms with the effects as many are still bedridden, wheelchair bound and other associated mental effects. Everyone has story to tell, and we hope that everyday life returns to normal wherever we may find ourselves. However, based on the above, you have been asked as a health and social care professional (or pretend to be) in Nigerian organisation, government department, welfare institution and others providing humanitarian support to the less privilleged group to write a convincing report. Based on the above scenario the need for inclusive practice is more needed now than ever. As a senior welfare professional, your management has asked you to produce workshop materials aimed at equality, diversity, rights of recipients and inclusion according to the Nigerian and the United Nations’ standards. Your manager, in his discussions with you, asked that you use a report format to produce workshop materials on how the following were implemented in your country in terms of humanitarian needs for the less privilleged groups:
