Dana Airline is a disaster waiting to happen on a massive way. Nigerians are not yet dried of the tears and pains Dana Airline put them into in 2012. They did not learn any lessons. Every department of Nigerian business activity is unbelievably corrupt. The worst them is the management of aviation, especially the chief of facilities and his team. This department issue airworthy certificates without checks. I knew exactly what happened in 1997 when a Nigerian cargo flight landed in London; routine checks were carried out by British aviation authorities and it was found that the aircraft was having hydraulic leakage however, it was assessed to manageable to fly the aircraft back to Nigeria. However, the rule was that the aircraft must be repaired and it must go through airworthy assessment prior to be allowed to fly again. Behold, the same aircraft returned to London with the same hydraulic leakage, nothing was done to repair the hydraulic leakage. The surprising aspect of it all was that the same faulty aircraft has a new airworthy certificate, issued by the office of chief of facilities. This resulted to the grounding of all airworthy certificate by the British aviation authority in 1997. I said this because I typed the letter that the the Nigerian government used as an excuse to stop British Airways from taking off. That was the Abacha regime. How are Nigerian aviation managers do not value the lives of fellow Nigerians baffles me. Nigeria stinks; stop flying Dana airline, including all these mushroom airlines with aircrafts of more than 25 years old. The lifespan of commercial aircraft is 20 years but Nigerians went to scrap yard Europe to buy them off. If this is allowed to continue, a bigger crash is eminent and it could be anybody.
