There is deafening noise everywhere in Nigeria as the West and the Fulanis teamed up to further divide the Igbos. Without the Igbos, there is no southern Nigeria. I do not know what the Yorubas benefit from their secret fight to divide the Igbos. Yes, they benefited from the Biafra war by taking over and occupying the vacated offices of the Igbos. They sustained the occupation with propaganda, hence an average Yoruba man is ignorant by misinformation and disinformation. Their newspapers, tribune, observer, and others lied to them that they were more educated than the Igbos. However, they did not tell them that prior to July 1966, more than 75% office managers in politics and business were meritoriously occupied by Igbos. Yes, Igbo education was disrupted for three years; was that enough for the Yorubas to overtake the Igbos? Definitely not; Igbos were ahead of the Yoribas in education prior to 1966! The Igbos prior to July 1966 supported the Yorubas. When Akintola’s and Awolowo’s were fighting, the Igbos supported the Yorubas without picking sides. The Igbos helped Awolowo; kept him in the East, and supported his family. January 1966 coup was carried out to support the Yorubas. Ojukwu released the ungrateful Awolowo, and he praised Gowon. Why are the Yorubas not focused on their development instead of fighting for Igbo division? With all the massive federal government investment, Yoruba state capitals are comparable to Igbo local government headquarters. Every Yoruba man claimed to come from Lagos as they forgot their own states. Igbos, federal government and others developed Lagos. However, out of ignorance, Yoruba man claimed that it was Tinubu who was born yesterday, developed it. Why does a Yoruba man prefers propaganda insterad of the truth? Why do the Yorubas fear of Igbo unity? Igbos have never planned against the Yorubas; why can’t the Yorubas focus on their unity and progress instead of plotting against Igbo progress? The Yorubas fear that the Igbos would eventually come for their vacated seats hence they stupidly resist Igbos unity. Go oguchiblog.com to read my publications on why Yorubas dubiously hold their grip on power.
However, prior to July 1966, the Yorubas were junior partners in the tripod contraption called Nigeria. They have used the strategy of divide and rule to suppress the Igbos. In the new Nigeria, Igbos have two options; it is either we are in Nigeria as the largest nation or we are out of it. However, I seize this opportunity to tell the Yoruba to back off now! Yorubas must call themselves to order and step backwards from intruding into Igbo affairs. The propaganda is ended, and the world knows the truth. Based on the above, the Igbos will be the largest nation behind India in the next fifty years. The Igbos were one with the southern Cameroon, and we intend to unite once again. On that bases, the Igbos would be one of the largest economies in the world hence we request the Efik, the Ibibio, the Idoma or even the Benue, and the Urobho to join us as we have everything in common. We once again, extend our hand of oneness to the Benins; it is your own good to join the Igbos. The people of Ijaw should ask Asari Dokubo to go to his father’s land; he is a son of an Igbo man, Mazi Ediabali. Asari Dokubo is an emigrant to Ijaw from Abia State. Nigerian government, especially the Yorubas to should please, step backwards from Igbo affairs; we have had enough of you now. Failure to stop antagonising with the Igbos, we will work with the fulani to give you your deserved place. Ask anybody from the North, they prefer dealing with the Igbos than dealing with the Yorubas. No Nigerian loves the Yoruba however, due to political gains, they selfishly cooperate with you. The Yorubas know that, hence they work tirelessly for Igbo division. Hear me now, such era has come to an end! Igbos are not interested in dominating any Nigerians, otherwise we could have formed alliance with the Fulanis. The Igbos go for live and let live (egbe bere, ugo bere); the Fulanis, with intent to dominate would have loved alliance of dominance with the Igbos. Igbos love freedom, and we want all Nigerians to be free. However, the Yorubas are doing everything to cling to power. Let me warn the Yorubas, the Igbos you see in Abuja are not the ones that decide what the Igbos do. They are their for their money, and they represent their families. If you want to know the thought of an Igbo man, come to the village square! Everyone talk nonsense about Ikwere; portharcourt was part of Owerri province. YORUBAS MUST STEP BACKWARDS NOW! Igbos have had enough of you.
My name remains Oguchi Martins Egbujor, all that speaks Igbo must be united; the war is over, unless it is not! The division of Igbos must be reversed. Igbos are one irrespective of their geographic locations. The Yorubas and Nigerians must hear me clearly, all that speaks Igbo is definitely, Igbo, and that includes Ikwere and Nyesom Wike! Others can join us if they want as we extend our hand of oneness to all for Efik, Ibibio, Urhbo, Benin and Idoma; live and let live. He who has ear let him hear!
